With Microsoft not supporting Java anymore, what should I do?

Visual J++ is officially dead, as is any support for it and Java by Microsoft. Please see http://www.microsoft.com/java/ for transition information, and http://java.sun.com/ for a Java Runtime Environment (JRE) that will run your existing applications under a Win32 environment.
